The big news is that today I was able to apply mascara to my lashes. It is the first time that I have had enough lashes and lashes that are long enough so I could use mascara. I don’t know that I will stop using the false lashes because they are really so much fun, but I’m happy that my own lashes are coming back. I can even use my eyelash curler.
My eyebrows are looking better. They were growing back but all askew with the hairs sticking out in different directions. Quite a sight. Now they seem to be behaving and lying down in the right direction.
My hair seems to be growing back, but I haven’t figured out what to do. I don’t want it to look like I have the mange, and I don’t want to let my hair start growing back only to have to lose it again. Most of that, of course, depends on the hormonal treatment working for a while so I can stay away from chemo, which is why I’m hoping really, really hard that the Faslodex® works for me.
Being bald is not a big deal to me. In fact, I’d rather remain bald than deal with a changing landscape. I guess for now I’ll continue to enjoy the lashes and eyebrows and wait till later to deal with the hairdo.
