excellent resource: The Breast Book

When breast cancer barged into my life in 2004, I spent the first few weeks in an emotional spin. I remember trying to absorb information that I did not welcome. My oncology team provided me with a lot of reference material, and I spent time on the Internet and in bookstores. The first book I remember buying was The Breast Book by Dr. Susan Love. I have referred to that book time and time again since then, and I’m pleased to see the new edition (Fifth Edition) is now available. Since I like eBooks, I’m happy that it is available from Amazon. Based on Dr. Love’s interview by Faith Middleton 10/18/10 on PBS, the new edition addresses a lot of the new, and often conflicting, information that the media likes to mine in bits and bytes.

I think reliable resources are crucial for anyone trying to understand as much as possible about this disease. The Breast Book (aka the breast Bible) is one resource I like to have on hand.
