In the last few years we have heard about the many benefits of green tea, specifically because of its high level of antioxidants. For a while it was suggested that drinking many cups of green tea could reduce the risk of getting breast cancer. This study indicates that green tea, even at a consumption rate of five or more cups per day, did not reduce the risk for getting breast cancer.The study published in Breast Cancer Research included data from 54,000 subjects who completed questionnaires at the start of the study before having received a diagnosis of breast cancer.
