taste for horiatiki

Craving horiatiki, we headed over to Café Ambrosia in Long Beach. I like mine plain, and Marvin prefers his with some lamb. I can’t remember when we’d been there last, maybe two years ago. A juicy brisk Greek dressing was as I remembered, but they have scaled down on the size of the salad and put little crumbles, rather than the former chunks, of feta that I love so much.

Still, it was a good lunch. Sitting next to their koi pond, I got splashed at one point from one of them jumping and slapping its tail at me. How rude.
