Needing a break from my research and thoughts on breast cancer awareness, I lounged through the morning after a bit of a rough night and headed out around one o’clock to pick up medications and swing by the bank. It was a perfect day of mid-seventies and sunshine with our characteristic low humidity, so I stopped along the way and afterward to admire some of the art deco architecture so prominent in Long Beach.
I love those old buildings with the fire escapes zigzagging up the building and always wonder whether my fear of heights would allow me to climb down those folding ladders. Maybe I would have to wait for Superman to come to my rescue. It was a fine day for daydreaming at the Promenade and Broadway.
