time out

I slept off and on throughout the morning till the hip pain eased up. Then, instead of spending the day doing research on cancer, I took the day off and enjoyed the quiet time with my husband, reading, talking about everything else but cancer and listening to Miles, Monk and Trane. We both needed a day to kick back, and the sound of the rain on the roof off and on all day reinforced the relaxation we both badly needed. Tomorrow, maybe a movie. Tonight, a visit to watch my wild eagle and owl nests to remind me that miracles are everywhere.

  1. Fantastic.Cancer can overtake every aspect & thought of your life.It is so great to be able to just put it away for a day. Good for you, Donna.

  2. Great idea. Do the things that you enjoy.

  3. So glad you were able to have a “Donna Day” and live life, at least for a short time, as it was meant to be lived. Relax and recharge….that is the best medicine you can give yourself once in a while. It is always a good day when you can put “C” on the back burner. Good for you! Brava!
