brief outing for lunch

IMG_4318

My honey took me out briefly for some fresh air and sunshine on this perfect southern California day. I wobbled quite a bit on my stroll to the restaurant, so we just went home afterward. At least I walked a little bit albeit like I was drunk, but it felt great to be somewhere other than in bed, which is where I have been all week.

I hope today starts the recovery that I am expecting even though I feel quite weak and I still have another day of the Valacylovir. The rash is drying up and scabbing over, as is common for shingles, and I will have a follow-up with dermatology sometime in the future.

  1. So glad you got out, today. That must have been wonderful. I’m still dealing with my scabbing shingles & probably should have someone take a look at it.
    XOXOXO,
    Brenda

  2. That is wonderful what a sweetheart your honey is.. California has wonderful weather. I kind of wish I lived there actually. I do love Oregon though. Glad to hear you got out and that the shingles seem better. Take care and hugs.

  3. I am so happy you got out and it sounds like the shingles are on the way out too! Hugs and XoXoXo – Susan

  4. Lunch outings are the best. Are you using a cane just in case. You don’t want to fall. I’m glad you enjoyed your day with your sweetheart.

  5. Glad to see you were able to get out and enjoy some fresh air and new scenery! And of course, having that handsome husband to look at across the table must help some! Truthfully, he is an angel! Also glad to hear the shingles are on their way out…hopefully for good! You are in my heart even when the words are not on the blog! Hugs and owl wings and eagle’s eyes!

  6. Shingles suck!!!!!
