Nursing a fever

I stayed awake half the night with chills apparently from a low-grade fever. I don’t have too many other symptoms, except a slightly over active bladder. Maybe it is a urinary tract infection, or maybe this is still part of the shingles. Whatever it is, it might explain my weakness the last couple of days. I went for blood tests at the local Quest two days in a row and felt overwhelmingly weak. They did not have the special tubes for my CTC (circulating tumor cells) on the. First day, so I had to return on a second day after they got the special tubes.

Today it is bed time and sleep.

  2. Oh dear, a fever makes one feel so terrible I am so sorry. Such a shame, one would think they would have the special tubes they need so you didn’t have to waste your energy twice.Never easy is it, glad to hear you are resting up. Try to drink lots of fluids to help keep hydrated. Hugs and best wishes.

  3. So sorry you are not feeling well. You have been having unusual symptoms unless it’s all part of the shingles, which as you know is never fun. Here’s hoping you start to feel better. I am sure you are awake trying to figure out what all of this is. I hope you get a good night’s sleep tonight as it sounds like maybe resting will help. I sure hope so. Lots of cyberhugs and XoXoXo – Susan

  9. I have a cold and a slight fever this weekend. Not much to worry about, but I am overwhelmingly weak, so maybe it’s a hallmark of this particular germ. Please get better soon. Sending love.
